Das Europainstitut der Universität Basel sucht per 1. Oktober 2025 oder nach Vereinbarung eine/n PostDoc im Bereich European Global Studies mit juristischem Schwerpunkt (100%).
Das Europainstitut, gegründet im Jahr 1993, untersucht in Forschung und Lehre die Beziehungen der Schweiz und Europas in einer global vernetzten Welt. Als interdisziplinäre Einrichtung mit rund 30 Mitarbeitenden bündelt das Institut Expertise aus Politikwissenschaft, Ökonomie, Philosophie, Geschichte und Recht und bietet mit dem Fach European Global Studies eine interdisziplinär und international ausgerichtete akademische Ausbildung an.
Die Position, deren Laufzeit gemäss den Anstellungsbedingungen der Universität Basel für Postdoktorierende maximal 6 Jahre beträgt (2 plus 4 Jahre), ist als wissenschaftliche Nachwuchsstelle ausgerichtet und beinhaltet eine Unterrichtsverpflichtung von 4 Semesterwochenstunden im Bereich der European Global Studies. Bevorzugt werden Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten mit einem juristischen Forschungsschwerpunkt an der Schnittstelle zum interdisziplinären Forschungsprofil European Global Studies (besonders wünschenswert: Migrationsrecht, Menschenrechte, Völkerrecht).

**Ihre Aufgaben**
- Selbständige interdisziplinäre Forschungstätigkeit (Habilitationsprojekt) im Bereich der European Global Studies
- Unterricht im Umfang von 4 Semesterwochenstunden im Rahmen des MA und PhD European Global Studies am Europainstitut
- Mitarbeit in der universitären Selbstverwaltung
- Aktive Mitwirkung bei den interdisziplinär und international ausgerichteten Tätigkeiten des Instituts (z.B. Organisation von Workshops etc.)

**Ihr Profil**
- Abgeschlossene exzellente Promotion in Rechtswissenschaft oder gegebenenfalls einem anderen rechtlich ausgerichteten Profil der Geistes
- und Sozialwissenschaften
- Engagierte und international vernetzte Persönlichkeit mit mehrjähriger Erfahrung in universitärer Forschungsarbeit
- Erfahrung in universitärer Lehrtätigkeit
- Kommunikations
- und Teamfähigkeit
