**Key responsibilities**:

- Guide and support a team of laboratory technicians for microbiological testings: e.g. sterility testing, bioburden, bacterial endotoxins
- Assist in method development, implementation, evaluation, validation, and writing/updating/reviewing/approving of QC-related documentation. Support and complete trending reports and deviations
- Provide training for procedures, test methods, and raw data review
- Collaborate with partner units within Lonza DP network to ensure timely delivery of project achievements and smooth continuation of production
- Ensure effective use of resources, maintenance of equipment, and adherence to safety and health protection protocols
- Act as SME and project lead for different on-site projects, with a focus on microbiology projects. Participate as Subject Matter Expert in audits and inspections
- Support the lab team and ensure timely progress of sample testing, review, and approval

**Key requirements**:

- Academic degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent in Microbiology, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields
- Profound working experience in microbiological testing in the pharmaceutical industry within cGMP regulations is a must
- Hands-on experience in microbiological test types (e.g. environmental monitoring, endotoxin, bioburden, sterility testing) is a must
- Knowledge of automated systems (e.g., Growth Direct, Pyrotec Pro) is a plus
- Excellent communication & scientific reporting skills, proactive attitude, you work well with teams.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; German proficiency is a plus.
