**Overview of **the position**:
On behalf of our client, a large insurance company in Zürich, we are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join a fun and vibrant team.
This is a 3-month contract starting ASAP.
**Main res**p**onsibilities**:
- Execute cybersecurity strategies aligned with organizational goals and group/head office guidelines.
- Implement robust security measures.
- Evaluate and recommend security solutions and technologies for improved efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee incident response procedures, ensuring prompt and effective handling of security incidents.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and address weaknesses.
- Monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM tools.
- Assess and manage cybersecurity risks associated with external vendors and third-party service providers.
- Conduct due diligence assessments and periodic audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Provide guidance and support during security incidents, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Conduct forensic investigations to determine the root cause of incidents and recommend remediation actions.
**You**r** expertise**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in senior Cybersecurity roles.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex security concepts.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are highly desirable.
