R&D Team Lead
**Your role and responsibilities**
The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid
**The main responsibilities include**
- Collaboration with colleagues from business, team members and other teams, showing great team spirit and a drive to learn and grow.
- Designing, implementing, and testing converter prototypes in the lab.
- Driving innovation by developing new power electronic concepts and solutions.
**Qualifications for the role**
- Hands-on laboratory skills, a willingness to work independently and take initiative in designing, building, and testing converter prototypes.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- PhD with emphasis on power electronics converter design, optimization, and converter prototyping. A strong focus on any of the following will be an advantage.
- Experience with designing and testing high power converters, medium voltage power electronics and/or grid connected 3-phase inverters.
- Good knowledge of applied control theory, with embedded hardware design and programming of FPGA (VHDL) and microcontrollers to control power converters with experimental validation of the same.
- Optimum design of the power stage using comprehensive optimization methods with experimental validation of the hardware.
