Disease Modelling Scientist

Hobson Prior are seeking for a Disease Modelling Scientist to join a fantastic pharmaceutical corporation on a contract basis. Our client is focused on providing life-changing remedies for those who suffer from serious illnesses.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- For this position, you will guide further development of the mathematical model with system pharmacology, PK/PD, statistical or machine learning models that integrate preclinical/clinical data.
- Execute parameter inference techniques using the current model of tumor and immune cells temporal dynamics.
- You will develop a method to examine strength and validity of the developed predictive models.
- Engage on a scientific level with associates in project team(s) with concerns to all facets of the work conducted.
- Guarantee high quality reporting into both internal and external project documents such as clinical development plan, health authorities briefing books, scientific publication, etc.
- Discuss the result of the work conducted to the project teams to assist with effective communication and decision making.
- Any other assigned duties.

**Requirements**:
- Educated to an advanced degree level in life science discipline such as engineering, mathematical modelling, computational biology, biophysics, applied mathematics, machine learning or biostatistics.
- Familiarity with disease modelling.
- Abilities in data analysis and data science.
- Comprehension and development of mathematical/statistical strategies and translate them into a computational algorithm.
- Computer literacy with coding capabilities with at least knowledge in one high level scientific language, for example: R/MATLAB/Julia/Python.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Tactical attitude with a comprehension of how as well as when modelling and simulation can provide value in drug.
- Able to influence and guide without authority within a network establishment.
