Managing on-time execution and measurement of assigned communications programmes, as well as drive internal communications and employee engagement. Working in close alignment with the Senior Leadership Team and other key functions to execute integrated communications plans for Swiss AZ organisation. You will also help ensure communications are on-message and pushed through appropriate channels. Within cross-functional collaboration you will contribute to brand strategy development and align with regional/global functions. **Other responsibilities will include**: - Draft, write, edit communications intended for external audiences including press releases, Q&A’s, reserve press statements, employer relations material, and supports elaboration of product fact sheets, field voice mails, and sales force communications to address or respond to brand issues - Organize media storyline & communication trainings for Senior Leadership Team and other key functions to support them delivering highly engaging communications - Represent AstraZeneca in the Interpharma Communications Working Group - Responsible for proactive issues management (process & execution) - Systematic monitoring of media landscape and identified key stakeholders with timely information to Senior Leadership Team and concerned key functions - Relationship building with identified media organisations in Switzerland - Design/execute creative internal and external events (e.g. meeting with key stakeholders from hc-system, end year dinner, townhalls) - Monitor and assist in gaining employee feedback through formal and informal communications in order to drive a positive company culture and high employee engagement - Budget responsibility **Essential for the role** - Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, marketing or related field - Sound Communications and/or marketing experience with track record in different communication channels - Ability and hunger to quickly familiarize with scientific, medical and economic data as well as legal/regulatory frameworks and compliance guidelines - First-rate coordination, collaboration, organization and multi-tasking skills - Independent working, strong ownership of assigned projects, works with a high degree of energy and creativity in delivering on-time (in a fast paced corporate and cross-functional environment) - “Hands-on" mindset to drive a creative, proactive and spirited corporate communications approach for AstraZeneca Switzerland - Experience in working effectively with and Public Relations agencies and other vendors - Existing media-related network in Switzerland - Media relations skills and training - Strong in preparing high quality texts and presentations for external and internal audiences (German or French, English) Proficiency in English as well as in German or French (writing and speaking), fluent/comfortable in 2nd Swiss national language (speaking) **Desirable for the role** - Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, professional and patient associations - Public relations background, or journalism experience - Understanding for Swiss culture, the public and key stakeholders (e.g. politicians, key organisations) - Knowing the Swiss healthcare system and the Swiss political system - Existing network in the Swiss HC-system **Why AstraZeneca** At AstraZeneca we’re dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
