The Regional Access Director Oncology reports to the MER Oncology Access & Pricing lead and, with a dotted line, to the Pipeline Lead (ED) of the EUCAN Oncology Access Team The position is responsible for driving and implementing the market access and pricing strategy for oncology therapeutic projects in the region and Access & Pricing for oncology pipeline indications.

**Major Responsibilities**:
Develop and execute an integrated value, access and policy strategy for Nordics & Baltics region in collaboration with regional management.
Ensure close partnership with the other Access Regional Director Leads and the Managing Directors to ensure that access plans incorporate appropriate planning assumptions and evidence strategies to prepare successful commercialization of pipeline products across the region.
Anticipate changing payer landscapes across the region by building and maintaining deep understanding of payers, including emerging trends that can impact access for Oncology products
Coordinating access training and best practice sharing across the sub region in alignment with the regional management.
Guide country affiliates as they develop their local access plans, including optimal approaches with governmental agencies and payers, and help them prepare for new product launches. This includes:
identifying market access barriers and opportunities
defining the access tools needed by affiliates to execute product strategies
assist implementation of tailored pricing models and contracts according to payer requirements and business needs in line with our company's overall strategy
analyze price level competition according to local market dynamics
managing pricing and access issues that affect multiple countries within the region
integrating pricing and contracting, reimbursement and payer planning, health economics, and HTA and payment policy into strategic planning and execution
coordinating access & policy planning with other internal stakeholders, including Regional CORE, Marketing, Policy and Medical (RDMAs)
assuming “hands-on” responsibility for supporting affiliate Access Leads and ensuring robust access strategy development, prioritization and implementation
ensuring business planning assumptions align with revenue forecasts
Leverage all available resources (e.g., clinical, regulatory, medical, marketing) to develop and implement tactical plans and identify and overcome access barriers
Coordinate planning assumptions for short
- and long-term activities for entry strategies
Regional access plans, including long-range planning

**Affiliate/distributor/partner access plans**: provide supervision to affiliate Access leads
Responsible for selected oncology pipeline products / indications:
provide input to the Global Access & Pricing strategy for successful launch of new products / in-line key indications (including collaborations).
Develop regional access and pricing strategy and support execution to ensure launch of new products/in-line key indications
ensuring business planning assumptions align with revenue forecasts
integral member of the regional cross functional team, includes countries feedback to validate the Access & Pricing strategy
Oversee primary and secondary research with payers within the region to answer specific questions needed to refine local access strategies

**Travel requirement**: up to 50% of the time.

Qualification profile

**Education**:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of directly related experience in health economic, pricing & reimbursement; or Master’s degree and 3 years of directly related experience; or Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of directly related experience

**Languages**:
English and preferably one major market language

**Experience/Professional Requirements**:
Sound prior experience in pharmaceutical industry (market access, marketing or medical positions)
Very good understanding of healthcare environment, market and business context
Strong understanding of payer and government environment in the region, including P&R and contracting, value drivers, formulary management and HTA policy
Experience in oncology strongly preferred or at least secondary care or across various TAs
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and country Access teams, and engage in productive debate and collaboration with senior leaders
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with international & local teams, strong team player
Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a matrix environment
Demonstrated ability to understand medical scientific & outcomes data and is capable to transfer this in economic and medical context
Strong oral/written presentation skills
Strong strategic planning skills—both at the product and country (cross-portfolio) levels
Strong understanding of strategic pricing and contracting, including innovative approaches
