What’s the scope?
Reporting into the Merchandising Director the Digital Merchandise Manager Lee selects, plans and develops product assortments and present strategic proposals to grow the digital business in line with financial targets and increase market share for both Lee & Wrangler.
Your responsibilities as our Digital Merchandise Manager;
- Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from the digital accounts in close collaboration with our sales analyst team. Analyse product performance to evaluate strengths and weaknesses to aid future line development and utilize past season sales, product performance data, current marketplace information and trends to define product strategies.
- Translate the insights of the analyses into a seasonal merchandising plan that is briefed to the Regional Merchandising partners.
- Follow collection development/content at key milestones to understand what to expect and pro-actively influence future assortment development : Final design review and Line freeze
- Lead effective and inspiring pre-line presentations from a product strategy point of view and assist in buying sessions with key account managers.
- In season management: Identify wins thru close follow up of at once performance & seasonal sell-out to:
- assess and respond to product specific digital customer needs & requests where appropriate
- contract opportunities
- in season stock opportunities
- re-run opportunities
- Strategic partnership with digital accounts, digital key account managers, Zalando PP responsible, sales analyst team, merchandising, development & planning, marketing, business analyst. Drive communication with internal departments. Ensure that planning is kept informed of all line decisions relevant to the product offer
- Work with marketing to support the go to market strategy.
- Drive product update during the monthly business review meetings
Skills for Success:
- At least 5 years apparel industry and comprehensive experience
- Fluent in English (written & verbal) any other European language is an advantage, German is a plus
- Excellent skills in MS office and working knowledge of Illustrator (preferred)
- Great knowledge of apparel market and market trends, flair for fashion
- Strong communication skills & presentation skills & strategic thinking
- Team player and result oriented
- Self-motivated and result driven
- Ability to work under pressure and set priorities accordingly - splendid time management skills
- Analytical thinking and problem solving
