Associate, Private Equity Technology

**What it's about**
In this position, you will join Partners Group’s Private Equity Directs team in Zug, Switzerland with responsibilities across all aspects of private equity control investments, including sourcing and thematic research, due diligence and investment execution, ongoing monitoring and value creation and divestitures.
The role is for the Technology team within Private Equity Directs. The Technology team operates globally with regional execution and portfolio responsibilities and focuses on control investments. Recent flagship transactions in leading global technology companies include Forterro (EUR 1bn+ EV), Idera (USD 3+bn EV) or Cloudflight (EUR ~400m EV).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching Technology trends and themes to proactively identify and source investment opportunities in the Technology sector
- Supporting and selectively leading due diligence workstreams on prospective investments (e.g. financial, commercial, technical, tax, legal due diligence etc.)
- Drafting and presenting investment recommendation documents
- Modelling business plans, LBO structures and investment scenarios and returns
- Supporting portfolio companies throughout our investment period (including the planning, execution and monitoring of value creation initiatives)
- Conducting various other tasks related to product reporting, market research, internal requests and marketing efforts with current and potential investors

- Top academic credentials from a leading university
- At least 4 years of work experience in management / strategy consulting (preferred), private equity, M&A, or transaction services with exposure to analyzing Technology and Software companies
- A strong passion for investing and global Technology markets
- Proficiency in LBO modelling and in drafting investment proposals
- Superior organizational competence (planning, scheduling, coordinating and time management)
- Excellent teamwork skills within international settings
- Excellent language skills - proficiency in English, a second European language is a plus (particularly German or French)
- A high energy level coupled with a strong desire to learn and succeed, along with an impeccable work ethic and a professional demeanor
