For our international medical partner, Roche Diagnostics Int Ltd based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated **Design OPS Manager** for one year with option for extension.
The DesignOps Manager has the remit to increase speed and quality as the team delivers and scales. Responsible as Ops Scrum Master for operational practice development and management by running our SAFe-like Ops sprints.The DesignOps Manager will facilitate prioritization of project requests, project staffing and overall project delivery topics. The Design Ops Manager is responsible for chapter/project controlling, vendor & partner management, knowledge management, design specific tool & licenses and the chapter specific on/offboarding process.
**Tasks**:
- Responsible for maintaining the project management framework that supports the delivery of design projects, along with the design leads
- Ensure oversight of design projects and reports (information management system) is created and maintained and supports chapter decision making
- Responsible for driving and communicating for design leadership in ongoing intake/staff meetings, portfolio reviews, metrics and budget tracking
- Implement best practices related to chapter operations and design delivery
- Provide a framework for enhancing capabilities from problem definition through design, build, test, and training/introduction of new concepts and ways of working
- Effectively support a highly engaged team and is able to inspire and coach team members
- Lead activities and initiatives to promote a healthy culture, including information sessions, offsites, internal surveys, recognition programs, change management, team norms, etc.
- Responsible for facilitating controlling rituals and processes with Finance Business Partner and leadership team. Ensures relevant data is reliable and can provide context
- May define rituals and tools to facilitate the collection and sharing of knowledge
- Ability to manage strategic partnerships with vendors to enable scalability of services and ensure quality outcomes for our stakeholders
- Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate and procure the tools we need for research, prototyping, and design to achieve maximum efficiency and quality
- Ability to learn and test new tool configurations and automations to support the efficiency of our processes
**Must Haves**:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in process design management, business administration, change or project management, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in design operations, design project delivery, tools and process implementation, change/processes/vendor management
- Strong professional experience in project management using agile methodologies, Scrum and SAFE (Scrum Master experience would be a plus)
- Strong ability to design and implement processes, as well as the ability to implement them technically in the available tools
- Perseverance in working in a complex environment and relationships (business, systems, policy, etc.)
- Fluent English is a must
- Able to work in a team, proactive, quality oriented, solution focused, motivated
- Analytical mindset and ability to think outside the box
- Very good communication skills with various business partners
- Technical affinity and ability to work with various technologies
- Persuasive personality in a team, able to communicate directly
- Willingness to support others in day-to-day operations
