Hobson Prior are seeking an External Operations Manager - Distribution for a fantastic pharmaceutical establishment on a contract basis located in Basel with hybrid working available. Our client is focused on prolonging and improving the lives of many.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For this role, you will handle order alignment with the GCS study team members to organise delivery order as well as to guarantee active solution of any distribution order linked queries.
- Accountable for the setup, management and evolvement of the distribution network on an external level.
- Serve as the crucial business associate for operational exchanges with the suppliers.
- You will evaluate the supplier capacity, resource preparing and distribution tracker.
- To recognise process optimisations and guarantee follow up and accomplishment of activities in a timely manner, you will supervise and assess supplier performance with pre-outlined KPIs and cooperate with suppliers.
- Exchange with functions on an internal level and distribution supplier to highlight possible problems or bottlenecks due to high demands, seasonal circumstances or resident/provincial problems.
- Any other assigned duties.

- Social and communication abilities, both verbally and written.
- Capable of operating in an interdisciplinary team.
- An organised individual with the ability to plan well.

**Requirements**:

- Fluency in the English language.
- Educated to a degree level in a science, engineering or similar discipline.
- At least 5+ years of experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical organisation with field experience.
- Drug development process know-how.
- Skilled in project management in distribution.
- Know-how of pertinent guidelines such as GMP, HSE, etc., as well as company explicit standards.
- Computer literacy in MS Office, SAP, etc.
- Ideally acquainted with supplier management, clinical distribution, project management, clinical trials, Pharma or CMO.
