As an **Engineering Lead** at Yokoy, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical direction and execution of our projects. You'll lead a talented team of engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in everything we do. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic vision to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions.

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and high-performance software solutions that meet business objectives and user needs.
- Architect robust, maintainable, and extensible software systems that adhere to best practices and industry standards.
- Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for our projects, aligning them with business objectives and market demands.
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical plans and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines, maintaining high standards of software craftsmanship and engineering excellence.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, challenges, and dependencies, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, advocating for their adoption where appropriate to enhance our technical capabilities and competitive advantage.
- **️ What you’ll need**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (6+ years) in a senior or leading engineering role, with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems.
- Strong technical proficiency and relevant practical experience with Node.js and Typescript as a programming language
- Proven experience with cloud software architecture (e.g. GCP, Azure, or AWS)
- Knowledge of cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB) and data storage solutions
- Proficient in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Passion for technology, innovation, and continuous improvement, with a desire to stay ahead of the curve in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
- You speak English fluently; other languages are a plus
