Playtika is looking for a **Principal Data Scientist** to join the AI Department. This position is based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

We are looking for people with exceptional soft skills and outstanding hard skills. We are a group of Scientists and Engineers who like to share lunch and talk about everyday life, sports, travels, and more. In our work, we love to address complex intellectual challenges and make sense of high-dimensional and dynamical data that impact the game experience of millions of players.

You will join a multidisciplinary team focusing on recommendation systems and on modeling and prediction engines. We use solid statistical fundamentals with classical and cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) to provide a better experience for our players.

**Responsibilities**:

- Propose, lead, and conduct ML research applied to users’ recommendations and experience personalization
- Advise and propose new prototypes to DS group leaders
- Mentor colleagues and students
- Shape Playtika outreach scientific strategy
- Lead, coordinate and write scientific papers, blogs, etc.

**Requirements**:

- Ph.D. in Computer Science / Statistics / Engineering or other quantitative fields
- 7+ years of work experience
- Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of ML and statistics
- Strong coding skills in Python for ML use-cases
- Proven academic publication track record (peer-reviewed journals, prestigious conferences)
- Working experience with either TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, PyMC3
- Experience with causal ML is a significant advantage

Advantages
- Experience with recommender systems (e.g., multi-armed bandits)
- Proficient SQL, working experience of GIT
- Knowledge of Hive and Hadoop, plus notions of Spark
- Ability to present complex projects to non-experts (e.g., product managers, business domain experts, executives)
- Experience with model deployment, CI/CD not required, but a plus
