Manager Rmu Quotation

This position is responsible for leading the RMU Quotation Team. You will be in charge of developing your team members and building the team spirit as well as conducting the yearly performance assessments and dialogues.

As Manager RMU Quotation you will be managing and monitoring the tasks including the allocation within the RMU Quotation team, the quotation development and until the Won Quote hand-over to the project preparation phase. Furthermore you will also be closely collaborating with the Jet Aviation Basel Management, the Production Team, the Project Managers, the Billing Team, the Global Sales and the EMEA Quotation Team.
- Description/Tasks:

- Plan, monitor and manage internal RMU quotations and project preparation
- Lead or coordinate RMU quote planning, resourcing, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management
- Ensure quotation results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost and monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions
- Lead a team in the performance of a variety of tasks that are often routine
- Fully engineer processes to maximize effective working and reduce downtimes & quotation turn-around time
- Ensure monitoring and management of adherence to schedule (on time delivery quotes)
- Support sales representatives and channel partners in development of proposals, contracts, quotes and tenders, by engaging with all the value chain stakeholders
- Throughout his/her technical expertise, take responsibility for the financial & technical accuracy of all proposals, quotes and tenders released within the area of activity
- Ensure the development & maintenance of a database & tools to speed up and re-usability of the data generated
- Develop scope of work in collaboration with the Global Sales department and the customer
- Release quote to customer/Global Sales representative and support technical discussion and negotiation with the customer
- Support Basel Business Operation Support and Jet Aviation sites Planning departments in gathering labor, material estimates, schedule, and slot(s)
- Ensure the appropriate resource allocation in your Team composed of RMU quotation specialists, based on the forecasted volume and associated workload
- Ensure the continuous development of RMU standards and processes
- Qualification/Experience:

- In depth understanding of the aerospace industry, OEMs, and the regulatory framework
- Highly sophisticated understanding of project management (ideally within an aviation environment), supported by evidence of relevant continuing professional development, including greater complexity of projects
- PC literate with MS Office packages; proficiency in SAP would be a plus
- Previous equivalent qualification and/or experience of three to five years as Leader or in a leadership role within a MRO Planning department and/or ideally within an aviation environment
- A minimum of 5 years aviation experience in an equivalent role as MRO Sales, Quotation, Project Sales Administration or Planning or SCM or Production role or Engineer role
- Fluent in English, German and/or French is beneficial
