Accountant (Temporary)

For our Swiss site in Cham, we are currently looking for an experienced, all rounded **Accountant** to support our businesses. They report to the Finance Manager and they participate in the whole accounting cycle with their team (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, financial analytics and reporting). The accounting team is in charge of maintaining the company’s book accuracy.

**The Role**
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations - proactive role required to liaise with other Catalent affiliates.
- Journal Entry preparation for Month End including expense accruals.
- Bank bookings, supplier payments, sales statistics, employee cross charges for basecost (Indirect & SGA).
- This position requires proactive abilities in order to improve and automatize processes and workflows on an ongoing basis.
- Support the Finance Team Leader in ensuring SOX compliance for the internal control system and external auditors.
- Support the Finance Team in ensuring compliance to Cham standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Multiple stakeholder management on Cham site (Supply chain teams, customer service teams, cross-functional departments) and across Catalent (direct contact with manufacturing sites and corporate oversight).

**The Profile**
- Accounting or finance degree, with at least 2 years of experience in similar roles ideally within the Pharma industry.
- Expertise on G/L and BS, but also good analytical skills to understand numbers.
- Organizational skills; prioritizing work to meet timetables and deadlines is crucial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and an ERP system (JDE preferably).
- Knowledge on US GAAP and ASC 606 is an advantage.
- Knowledge on EU-VAT transactions is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (both oral and written).
