**Scientific Advisor in Remote Sensing Applications**
**60-100 % **:We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join the National Point of Contact for Satellite Data (NPOC) team. The NPOC is based at the Remote Sensing Laboratories of the University of Zurich and is part of the Space Exchange Switzerland platform (SXS).
**Your responsibilities**:
- Provide scientific consultation to potential Earth Observation/Satellite data users in Switzerland (non commercial, governmental or private entities)
- Development of innovative solutions within Google Earth Engine or other platforms to showcase potential of satellite imagery
- Teaching activities (incl. workshops)
- Outreach events/actives
**Your profile**:
- PhD or MSc with working experience in a domain using geodata and knowledge in using satellite data
- Knowledge in a programming language, ideally in Python
- Knowledge in Google Earth Engine
- Broad knowledge of Remote Sensing techniques and Earth observations data
- Knowledge in the Swiss Space sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English (an additional national language is an asset)
- Work independently as well as in a team
