**About the job**

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern, within the Stewarding department, the Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for smooth operations and supports the kitchen team by ensuring cleanliness of kitchen equipment, cutlery and glassware. The Stewarding Supervisor reports to the Executive Chef.

As Stewarding Supervisor, **you will be responsible for the following duties**:

- Managing the Stewarding team
- Preparation of the duty rosters for the department
- Responsible for the supply of the required F&B material
- Control of hygiene & cleanliness in the stewarding, kitchen and back office areas
- Regular checks and inventories
- Responsible for cleaning, maintenance and storage of porcelain, glassware, cutlery and kitchen utensils
- Cleaning of all kitchen equipment, appliances, floors and walls
- Checking and proper use and maintenance of the provided machines and equipment
- All waste disposal in accordance with appropriate company guidelines

As Stewarding Supervisor**, we expect from you**:

- 3 years experience in the cleaning sector in the upscale hospitality
- Leadership, organizational skills and the ability to lead a team of employees from different cultures with sensitivity and discipline
- A strong customer service orientation and a self-reliant way of working
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position includes weekend and holiday shifts
- Good manners and a high degree of quality awareness
- Open-mindedness, a sense of responsibility and teamwork
- Good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
