Linux Sysadmin

For a historic multinational company based in Canton Ticino operating in the medical sector we are searching for a:
**Linux SysAdmin**

**Mission**:
The Linux System Administrator will join the development team, helping them to maintain the automated high efficiency distributed system supporting the 3D print production.

He/Her will manage Linux-based virtual machines and assist the team to maintain and upgrade the system, keeping focus on failure prevention, risk mitigation and network security.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Manage, maintain and keep up to date the Linux servers part of the production system;
- Maintain the stage environment and web services;
- Design and optimize networked system services;
- Supervise the distributed system and keep it actively up to date;
- Collaborate with other developers, team leads and IT department;
- Share expertise with other members of the Team.

**Main competences**:

- Proven experience as Linux System Administrator;
- Very good knowledge of networking design and configuration;
- Very good knowledge of Linux Debian and Ubuntu;
- Good knowledge of web services maintenance (Apache, PHP, etc.);
- Knowledge of scripting language Bash and Python;
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and related topics (cryptography, certificates, keys management, etc.);
- Knowledge of VMware virtualization system.

**Nice to have**:

- Understanding of REST API and distributed systems;
- Understanding of Agile development, DevOps and CI/CD;
- Understanding of Git versioning, experience with Gitlab is a plus;
- Good problem solving and proactive attitude focused on the system integrity;
- Fluent spoken and written English and Italian languages;
- Understanding of Docker;
- Willingness to work in a certified industrial medical environment.
