We are looking for a **Team Leader Product Engineering**_ _**with a main responsibility in supervising the team dedicate to large retrofit projects which support our Product Management for their 2-Stroke Engines product lifecycle (product launch, obsolescence, and product discontinuation). To support our business, we must provide excellent product care which might be related to A&C, reconditioning business, root cause analysis and general system integrations. The preferred location for this position is Frauenfeld, Switzerland. In this position, remote working (hybrid) is an option too.

**Your role and responsibilities**

As a Team Leader Product Engineer your work will include workflow management, participate in management team meetings and work closely with our Product Managers and other relevant team leaders. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of an experienced team, with diverse expertise.

**The main tasks for the job include**
- Lead, manage and develop the Product Engineering group in close co-operation with product managers and other stakeholders to achieve optimal quality of service performance and profitability of activities.
- Create a sense of belonging where our employees are, and focus on developing employees’ skills, career and high satisfaction, hand in hand with ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Support and closely work with Wärtsilä 2-stroke business with its technical and commercial teams.
- Ensure that the required quality standards of our data and documents are kept.
- Implement quality, environmental, health and safety systems and ensure safety culture is aligned within the team.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines, costs, and quality for product management related project tasks.

**Requirements for the position**
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical, Marine Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A team player with a proactive approach and good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Effective organisational skills - able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
- Pro-active, cooperative and independent individual.
- Project management skills
