GLOBAL BUSINESS CONTROLLER

We are looking for a Global Business Controller to support our Flexible Packaging segment leadership team & business units in driving the segment to their specific strategic goals and aspirations. The Global Business Controller will play an active role to improve the global financial function, drive strategic projects and acts as a business partner within finance, operations, and commercials.

The Global Business Controller will report to the Global VP Finance, leads a team of 3-5 people directly and acts as a single point of contact for regional finance leads as well as to senior members of Group Finance, inclusive the Global CFO. The role can be based in anywhere where Huhtamaki has operations within reasonable European time zone availability and preferably located in one of our Flexible Packaging countries; Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, UAE, Egypt, Turkey.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Act as deputy head and business partner to Global VP Finance- Lead the global segment finance team with the subfunction of global sales controlling, global operations controlling, business intelligence and costing- Ensure cooperation with other business areas (e.g.: Sales, Commercial Excellence, Operations, strategy, M&A etc.) and establish the finance function as a true business partner- Act as single point of contact for regional finance heads and senior Group finance members- Develop a deep understanding of the financials, processes and systems in a partially decentralized set-up in order to build improved reporting, add transparency, suggest harmonization and centralization- Establish 2 global center of expertise for commercial
- and operations controlling with set up of the right global structures (also in regions) and develop power
- and insightful reporting with globally aligned KPI’s- Support the global blueloop strategy in relation to all financial matters (business cases, CAPEX, monitoring, reporting etc.) and act as a sparring partner and coach to the global blueloop team- Act as a point of contact for global strategy team and M&A to ensure Flexible Packaging is on track with strategy as well as exploring in-organic growth opportunities- Continue to develop the global business intelligence and create state of the art reporting combined with advanced analytics- Involvement of the successful set up
- and operation of the principal company in relation to all global export and sourcing activities with the aim to optimize financials- Be involved in a global finance transformation program (mainly shared service center set up) to ensure Flexible Packaging improves in processes
- and systems- Drive for S&OP setup across all regions and segment- Continue to drive global alignment on costing and ensure proper pre-/post analysis- Support and provide advice on how to improve profitability of customers with strategic pricing measurements and establish a set of meaningful KPI’s- Drive improvements to impact operational performance through enhance communication with operational leaders with the goal of process optimization- Drive working capital reductions, ensuring optimization of inventory, receivables, debts, payables and capital projects in order to maximize return on investment / cash flow- Preview and Monitoring of CAPEX process- Contribute to and develop new ideas to optimize structures and processes- Manage specific projects as they occur on finance development
