**Mission**

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Additional responsibilities include participating in exploratory experiments, teaching, notably practicals (“travaux pratiques”) for undergraduate students as well as supervising student semester projects, and assisting in organizational and operational matters of the laboratory.

- The motivation and ability to excel in science and teaching are essential. Employment is to begin preferably in October 2025 for a period of 2 years.

- EPFL is located next to Lake Geneva in a beautiful setting near the city of Lausanne. Salaries and working conditions are internationally competitive. The working language at EPFL is English (fluency in both oral and written expression are essential). Although proficiency in French is not mandatory, it is desirable notably for teaching-related activities.

**Information**
- The planned starting date for this position is October 1, 2025; however, some flexibility, of a few months at most, exists in this regard.
- Applicants are expected to be in the final stage of completing their PhD degree or to have earned their PhD within four years of September 30, 2025.
