Director Strategic Planning Global Sales

If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an appealing role for you Based in Baar, Switzerland, as a Director Strategic Planning Global Sales, you will support the Group President Global Sales and the Vice President of Global Sustainability & Decarbonization with a variety of strategic planning activities, business analysis and strategic initiatives. This person will develop, recommend, and track key business strategies related to the overall Global Sales Strategy ensuring the World Area teams have the right frameworks and tools in place to achieve their objectives.
**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:
Global Sales and Corporate Planning
- Work with Emerson Automation Solutions Global Planning group on projects, annual Strategy Review and implementation of global strategies
- Develop Strategic Planning agenda together with the Global Sales Leadership Team, including team meetings and Global Sales Vision reviews
- Special projects & analyses in relation to strategic initiatives
- Attend leadership team meetings and support the meeting content generation and coordination
- Support major Global events and conferences with content development, i.e. Global User Exchange, Global Sales communication webcasts, etc.
- Support the Group President Global Sales with preparing Customer and World Areas visits
Sustainability & Decarbonization
- Provide Strategic Planning support to the Vice president of Global Sustainability & Decarbonization for all Strategic Planning needs in Global Sales Leadership Meetings, ESSC meetings and any other Strategy communication instances to the PEG & ESSC
- Actively contribute to the development of the Global S&D Strategy together with World Area S&D leaders
- Contribute to the development of overall forecasts together with the World Area S&D leaders, develop Value Creation Conference sessions when needed
- Lead the deployment of the Global tracking system of S&D Orders and Sales by actively ensuring the CRM Growth program infrastructure is in place and in use by the World Areas
- Prepare Executive Customer Meetings decks relaying the most up to date S&D Value Proposition to support fruitful customer conversations
- Coordinate the European S&D champions & SME community into Funnel Development, Quarterly POR Process, Country reviews and QBRs library development and actively support them in Customer pursuits when necessary
Global Sales Vision:
- Act as the main focal point for preparation of all Global Sales Vision Planning meetings & communications to the PEG & OCE via the Group President Global Sales and Global Sales Vision Program Leader
- Prepare strategy development meetings with the Global Sales Vision Program Leader and assigned World Area teams
- Follow and progress the Global Sales Vision Strategy and keep leadership updated on status
- Work with WA teams on process design, frameworks and tools necessary to support the Global Sales Vision deployment
- Actively support adjacent taskforce development initiatives by preparing frameworks, designing the thinking process, and supporting the Initiative leader with all the elements required for completion.
**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, fluent in English and MBA required
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage strategic vision
- Strong analytical skills - fluency in Excel required, Power BI preferred
- Ability to build strong and effective project teams
- Understand Industry Trends, Competitive, Customer and Internal organizational issues quickly
- Ability to maneuver through the Emerson organization and get things done
- Traveling up to 30%.
