As an Intern supporting the External Communications team, you will gain experience working across various disciplines, including social media, financial communications, scientific and corporate communications, helping to build and manage Lonza’s reputation with its priority stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the communications team including brand and design, digital communications, and internal communications.

Key responsibilities:

- Monitor media coverage of Lonza and report results through regular coverage updates and reports
- Assist with writing, editing and proof-reading external communications materials
- Maintain and update journalist databases
- Support with event management at media and investor events, including financial results and AGM
- Support other events such as media visits, as required
- Assist with social media idea generation and content creation
- Social media monitoring on Lonza’s global social channels
- Ad hoc tasks to support the External Communications team

Key requirements:

- Fluent in English (strong German capabilities would be a bonus)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and proven experience supporting events
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
