As a Medical Manager you will be responsible to develop an eye-level partnership with internal and external stakeholders in order to shape the future of Oncology patients in Switzerland. You will lead the Scientific Engagement of your Medical Experts, implement clinical and educational strategies, respond to unsolicited medical enquiries, and co-create solutions with healthcare system stakeholders to fill medical gap and respond to customer and patients need.

Your Responsibilities:

- Function as the medical expert for the relevant therapeutic area.
- Participate in the development of strategic plans in collaboration with other teams (e.g. Scientific Operations (SciOps), Medical Information and Communication (MIC), Marketing and HEOR) to drive the success of Novartis products
- Coordinate review and approval of medical materials and locally developed promotional materials; ensure medical materials provided from global or region for stakeholder engagement and events are tailored to local needs and reviewed/approved per local/P3 guidelines.
- Support country medical affairs strategy in line with the global strategy, country insights and market conditions, and secure implementation of planned Medical Affairs activities
- Coordinate scientific meeting, symposia, congresses, Continuous Medical Education (CME) and other medical / scientific exchange and engagement activities which could bring additional value to the relevant therapy area; develop strategic engagement plan(s) for country customer-facing medical activities and events, and ensure timely execution of planned medical affairs activities in an efficient and compliant way
- Provide medical/scientific input into the development and execution of clinical trial or clinical research related activities, including initiation and oversight of clinical studies / clinical research within the respective therapeutic area. Support country strategy for Non-Interventional Studies/Investigator Initiated Trial activities.
- Ensure medical insights are provided to cross functional groups, including, but not restricted to: Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory affairs, Market Access, QA, Commercial teams, Brand team and others

**Minimum requirements**

What you'll bring to the role:

- University degree with a scientific bio-medical background (MD, Pharmacist, MSc or PhD in life sciences)
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred (ideally Medical Affairs)
- Ability to interact with relevant medical professionals, good communication and presentation skills as well as strong project management skills, including simplification approach, critical thinking and ability to lead changes
- Familiar with all aspects of drug development, GCP and local regulations, including regulations of promotional materials and able to operate in ambiguity and to adapt to change while developing new solutions, through strong problem solving skills
- Proficiency in German and English (oral and written), French and Italian are a plus
