For our space business at our location in Zürich we are looking for an experienced

Solution Engineering Manager for Opto-Mechanical Unit (f/m/d) (Ref. No. R0200609)

You will enjoy having this responsibility:

- Manage and coordinate Design, Analysis and hardware breadboarding activities of the Opto - Mechanic al Systems (with electronics content) in collaboration with Architect and IVVQ Teams
- Stimulate and monitor process improvements in the engineering domain
- Lead and d rive eng ineering activities and allocated engineering project team
- M aintain back - up solutions for critical components and sub - systems
- Trigger externalization activities for unavailable competences
- Ensure analysis activities to confirm technical margins and manufa cturability and tes t ability (DfM, DfT)
- Design to cost
- Ensure delivery of manufacturing files
- Contribute to Engineering plans maintenance
- Ensure execution of Internal Design Reviews and the related follow - up.

You have:

- Degree in engineering or physics, aerospace, electronics and optics or microtechniques
- 7 years relevant experience in product development
- Engineering experience in one or more of the above domains
- Experience in AIT campaigns for Optomechanical and Optoelectronics equipment
- Systems Engineering thinking and Experience
- Leade r ship and delegation, Motivator, T horoughness
- Good interpersonal and customer handling skills
- Ability to communicate fluently in both spoken and written English; other languages are of advantage
