**Job Title**:
**MSAT Laboratory Associate Manager**

**Your role**:Reporting to the MSAT Process Expertise Manager, you are leading a team of upstream and downstream scientists and technicians in charge of supporting the manufacturing units performing lab-scale studies in adequate scaled-down models. You plan and coordinate laboratory activities to ensure process troubleshooting and improvement, lifecycle management projects, raw material screening, in collaboration with manufacturing scale process experts. You ensure implementation and maintenance of lab equipment, drive the development of scaled-down models and contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.

**Job requirements**:

- Manage and develop a team of technicians and scientists in charge of designing and executing small scale studies in collaboration with process experts
- Plan and coordinate laboratory activities to support the projects within agreed timelines
- Develop adequate scaled-down models to support different types of laboratory studies with the best possible flexibility and efficiency
- Support the development and implementation of advanced technologies such as PAT and IPC equipment
- Ensure the implementation of an appropriate quality system in the laboratory
- Ensure a safe working environment for the collaborators
- Maintain high level of team cohesion

**Who you are**:
Degree in Life Science/Engineering, with 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in process development or manufacturing.

First experience in team management is highly expected as well as strong ability to organize and coordinate activities.

High scientific & technical expertise in upstream (fed-batch and perfusion processes) and downstream biotechnology processes, including lab-scale processes and technologies.

Good knowledge of cGMP and quality systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support and improve laboratory capabilities and support troubleshooting

Excellent skills in interpersonal communication and presentation.
