**Position Overview**:
The R&D department is looking for an intern to strengthen its team and become a reference in the large-scale mobility market. This position may involve being assigned to a long-running development project with important responsibilities and / or smaller supporting tasks for the R&D team.

**Main Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Processing of thermoset and thermoplastic composite parts for testing / sampling
- _Skills: epoxy resin infusion, autoclave, compression moulding,_
- Explore the influence of matrices on mechanical properties of composite parts.
- _Skills: samples preparation, 3-points bending, DMA analysis_
- Create and build new tools to improve sample preparation process
- Skills: CAD, tinkering, 3D printing
- Characterize materials’ UV resistance, moisture absorption, colors and other properties
- Skills: following test standards, dynamic moisture sorption, spectrophotometry
- Support R&D and Quality team in characterizing and validating products
- Skills: basics of automotive quality and validation processes

**Qualifications and Personal Qualities**:

- B.Sc. (or equivalent) in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering
- Interest and experience in composite manufacturing and materials science
- Some knowledge and understanding of standard test methods for composites
- Some experience in coding and data analysis (Octave, Python or others) is a plus
- Some experience in workshop tools handling is a plus
- English language required. Any other language is also appreciated
- Driving curiosity for independent problem solving
- Able to work autonomously and share relevant information with the team spontaneously
- Structured way of working with an ability to handle many projects in parallel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

**We Offer**:

- 1’500 CHF / month gross salary (pro rata)
- 2.5 weeks paid vacation for 6 months (pro rata)
