As a Director, you will hold a strategic role within Global MSAT and will partner with R&D, Procurement and Make functions, New Product Introduction, and Value Chain Management teams, as well as external partners, such as suppliers, to develop and implement robust and holistic Primary Packaging Component strategies for Primary Containers ( Cartridges, Syringes and Vials ) and Closure Systems (Stoppers, Cap, Plungers) to meet the emerging and future needs of Johnson & Johnson’s portfolio.

You will directly lead and develop a team of 4+ (Senior) Principal Engineers to deliver short-to-long term pipeline of initiatives associated to Johnson & Johnson combination product strategy, grow and establish a center of excellence and know-how around primary container within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for strategic framework around multi/dual sourcing of critical components for DDS components - Overall JJIM Primary Container Stronghold Ownership: In conjunction with other key disciplines to develop and deploy a Janssen enterprise methodology on a Gravel-to-Grave process on robust direct material supply. Shape & execute along JRD JJ strategic roadmap associated to LM primary container & drug containment.
- Responsible for critical direct material reliability management (primary container): Determine roadmap of priorities and action plans across teams and suppliers for all JSC impacted sites
- Responsible for supply chain resilience programs associated to primary container suppliers (e.g. BD capacity expansion program) and technical supplier management through VMTs
- Technology strategy: Shape and define technological aspects ffor DP LM primary containers platforms through strongholds and in close collaboration with R&D DDS. Provide supply strategy for pre-filled syringes, vials and cartridges for NPI & LCM LM - including holistic approach to supply chain resilience for primary packaging components
- Lead and supervise a team of scientist and engineers. Coach, develop and guide team towards company, platform and team goals & objectives

**Qualifications**:

- Specific knowledge
- Strong expertise on pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and products, equipment with focus on Parenterals and Primary Container
- Strong theoretical and practical expertise in several dosage forms for the involved technology platform, focused on engineering, new product development, manufacturing processes, materials aspects & packaging
- Project management (FPX), organizing, planning and coordination skills
- Process excellence (6sigma), lean concepts and tools
- Strong knowledge of Quality & Compliance / regulatory requirements (GMP/EH&S) especially for Parenterals Technology Platform.
