We are looking for an **Instruments Strategic Buyer**to join our Purchasing Department.
**Replacement during a maternity leave 6 months**
**Starting : 1st April**
Possibility for a permanent contract after this initial contract.
**Mission**:
The Instrument Strategic Buyer manages all Instruments inventory levels.
He/she monitors network inventory levels and requirements, replenishing inventory to meet targets including inventory investment, customer service levels and transportation efficiencies.
He/she interacts and communicates with the Demand and Supply Manager to identify inventory trends and constraints.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Translate demand plan into supply requirements for all suppliers and provide 12 months rolling supply forecasts to them.
- Closely coordinate and communicate inventory action plans.
- Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers to obtain materials, at lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and other requirements.
- Build relationships with suppliers, communicate performance scorecards and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with A type suppliers.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Operations to launch new products on time.
- Partner with cross functional teams and lead analysis and preparation of DC inventory and forecast reviews for use by senior management monthly and during quarterly guidance.
- Develop ad-hoc and repetitive reports and information tools as requested.
- Combine data from multiple sources and formats into tools for planning decision support, inventory analysis, auditing and other purposes.
- Develop tools to support sourcing activities and initiatives (RFI, RFQ ).
- Establish and maintain supply agreements with suppliers.
**Your profile**:
- Experience in the medical industry or a technical field
- Fluency in both French and English is essential
- Strong IT skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft AX or similar) and advanced Excel
- Proactive, self-motivated, analytical, and solution-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
