Regulatory Affairs Head

In this role, you will lead and develop a proactive Regulatory Affairs pharma team who bring a competitive advantage for the pharma business. You are the focal contact point for the Business Unit for the pharma segment and serve as the regulatory representative on the pharma leadership team. You work within the business as a collaborative partner to open markets for dsm-firmenich and our customers with high quality products, innovative solutions and best-in-class regulatory expertise.
Location of this role is flexible within Europe.

**Key responsibilities**
- Maintain and develop a proactive, solution-oriented, collaborative team of regulatory experts who use their expertise to find solutions to regulatory challenges and bring transparency to regulatory risks.
- Develop and maintain a strong culture of compliance, customer-centricity, establishing a positive relationship with key stakeholders such as regulators/government officials, all with agility and simplicity.
- Lead pharmaceutical product lifecycle management by maintaining and aligning registrations for BU-specific products/ ingredients in cooperation.
- Engage and ensure the engagement of the HNC BU RA team in advocacy themes and provide prioritization, including foresight and regulatory interpretation.
- Ensure highest adequate service to customers.
- Ensure that, as agreed, high level support is provided to ANH BU for those projects/products shared across BUs.

**You bring**
- Extensive experience in variety of senior roles pertaining to pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs and Compliance, with a global scope on sector (B2B) or customer side (B2C).
- 12+ years of experience in RA with a significant portion of that experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- At least MS in chemistry/toxicology/food science or related disciplines or MBA or PhD.
- More than 5 years of experience managing diverse regulatory affairs teams over multiple geographic locations.
- Transformational & progressive leader. Understands and masters change management; understands and drives technology and automation for change. Fast learner & hands on driving simplicity and efficiency; politically savvy.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity.
