At a Glance:
The Footwear Costing Lead will drive overall costing performance across multiple footwear categories within On’s footwear creation team by executing the seasonal costing process and strategically evolving costing methodologies in support of brand product margin targets. The Costing Lead will be the main driver behind On’s Costing strategy and will be considered a trusted partner by multiple functions that will rely on their expertise.

Your Mission:

- Analyse CBDs and work with Vietnam and Zurich Development teams to communicate model-level pricing tactics and effectively address critical issues to achieve price targets.
- Analyse cost trends & reduce/mitigate cost increases.
- Collaborate with partners in Product Marketing, Design and Development to ensure margin maximisation at the model level.
- Support development and operations team to enhance systems to ensure costing requirements are met and to improve costing performance.
- Drive process improvement by ensuring costing processes and results meet business objectives.
- Coordinate and conduct category costing reviews at critical milestones in the product creation process; ensure alignment between Marketing, Design, Development and Sourcing relative to achieving cost targets.
- Increase awareness and understanding of cost drivers within the organisation through the education and training of key business counterparts.
- Initiate analysis and improvement of cost standards & logic to ensure a fact-based costing process is implemented in all development and sourcing regions.
- Model costing scenarios based on production country labor trends and fluctuating commodity prices to guide On’s costing strategies.

Your Story:

- 5+ years relevant experience costing within the performance footwear industry
- 3+ years of experience in a footwear development or manufacturing role within the performance footwear industry.
- 3+ years of experience in footwear construction, innovation and/or global business management.
- 3+ year of experience in working with factories in a production country.
- Experience and knowledge of costing in a manufacturing environment with a high volume. coupled with a high product mix portfolio, including valuing of materials, labor and overhead cost components.
- Great communication skills with ability to influence key stakeholders (Marketing, Design, Development etc.) in the decision making process during key milestones of the development process (e.g., partial and final line reviews).
- Highly analytical skills with strong computer knowledge, especially able to work with multiple excel spreadsheets with a high data density
- Strong financial/accounting sense.
- Exposure to the latest in performance footwear materials, components, processes, and concepts.
- Experience with cost modelling based on production country labor trends and fluctuating commodity prices.
- Proficient in excel, PLM systems, and powerpoint/google slides.
