The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.

As Project Manager for Health, Medicine and Science, you will join a newly set up department, and you will have the opportunity to Support IOC Health, Medicine and Science area in the development and implementation of programmes and initiatives across the Olympic Movement.
**RESPONSABILITIES**:
**Health Project Management and Coordination**
- Support planning and coordination of Medical Services and Anti-Doping Services and Functional Areas for each edition of the Olympic Games and all IOC events;
- Act as liaison between the IOC Games Delivery Office, IOC departments and external partners (e.g. the International Testing Agency (ITA)) supporting Medical and Anti-Doping services at the Games, ensuring information flow and milestones tracking;
- Support budgeting and contract management processes for services supporting Games activities;
- Assist with planning, delivery and analysis of athlete health data services in Olympic and Youth Olympic Games, including implementation of a data recording tool for NOCs and an electronic medical record for OCOGs;
- Create a platform for IF/NOC physicians’ community of practice for proactive dissemination of IOC and OCOG Medical resources as well as a communication channel for health topics and questions during the Games;
- Coordinate workstreams with the IOC Information, Games Knowledge Learning Unit in relation to MED and DOP Functional Areas.
**HMS Research, Education and Knowledge Translation**
- Derive insights from data to assess trends impacting health of athletes and clean sport, the impact of the various activities and programmes of the department;
- Conduct data-driven evaluation of educational offerings including IOC Diploma and Certificate courses, IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport, Advanced Team Physician Courses and other in-person courses;
- Assist in department's collaboration with other departments on educational activities, knowledge translation and dissemination of our surveillance results, consensus meetings outcomes, and more;
- Assist with the planning and delivery of future updates and long-term plan of the Get Set - Train smarter injury prevention app and multimedia injury and illness prevention resources for athletes.
**Olympic Movement stakeholder engagement and collaboration across emerging HMS topics**
- Act as a contact point and coordinate the department's initiatives and engagements in programmes for public health and increasing physical activity, health and social outcomes in the population, including working with the IOC Olympism365 team, WHO, UN and others;
- Assist the team in planning and delivering meaningful measures for protecting the health of Esport athletes, including working with internal and external partners;
- Collaborate in setting the department's AI and data management priorities; review and implement AI technology across our work, engaging other departments and Olympic Movement stakeholders to align standards and integrate AI in to health informatics, anti-doping and diagnostics;
- Integrate and provide standards for safe use of emerging technologies in athlete health and safeguarding;
- Increase engagement with IFs on health topics specific to their sport and informed by the health data in the Games;
- Support the Director and other relevant Anti-Doping leads within the IOC with the review and analysis of scientific, health and medical as well as public health trends and policies with the potential to impact the protection of clean athletes (both from risk and opportunity perspectives);
- Coordinate various working groups relating to the health of the athletes in the Games and environmental conditions, such as heat, water and quality, Games optimisations etc.
**Eligibility for the role**
- Education (as a minimum a Master’s degree or similar) in a relevant field, such as medical or sports science, or professional experience deemed equivalent.
