Ict User Support Technician

**Your Mission**

We are looking for an **ICT **User Support and Cybersecuirty Technician **to support and assist the CyberPeace Institute in promoting peace in cyberspace. The jobholder’s deliveries will be a critical contribution to ensure a high level of confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Institute’s data, services and systems.

On the other hand, as a Cybersecurity Technician, you will be supporting the Analysis team who aggregates and analyzes data about cyberattacks from a wide range of public and restricted sources in order to better understand the type of victims and threats, the threat actors and their tactics, techniques and processes (TTPs). The team delivers analytical reports and data-driven platforms. You will support the team through basic cybersecurity investigative support and through technical support to facilitate the processing of data.

The ICT user support will cover 50% of the time whilst the remaining 50% will be spent on cybersecurity functions and the support of analytical activities This role would be suited to someone with an ICT support background who has a strong interest in cybersecurity and is looking for a new challenge.

**Your Responsibilities**

Under the leadership of the Infrastructure and Infosec Manager, you will have 4 main areas of responsibilities:
**_Service support to staff_**
- Handle helpdesk requests raised by Institute’s users on our JIRA Service Management - Ticketing Support platform
- Manage end-to-end user and infrastructure incident/problems
- Document recurrent solutions in knowledge management platform, infrastructure and procedures
- Develop learning materials on confluence for staff to raise their knowledge on how to use Institute tools / services / products in the form of wiki pages, short videos, infographics
- Organize regular ICT awareness and train users on good usage of our ICT tools and services
- Help in the redaction of various policies and processes under the responsibility of the infrastructure function
- Constant communications with users and ensure they receive timely answers to their ICT issues

**_Device and software Management_**
- Manage the inventory of the Institute’s ICT devices
- Help maintain the MDM platform and Inventory platform and making sure they are up to date
- Manage user full cycle access rights and device provisioning (newcomers, existing users and leavers)
- Set-up and configure new computers, laptops, other ICT equipment and business authorized software in-line with company policy on access and security
- Simplify mobile (iPhone) & laptop (McBook) provisioning and deprovisioning,
- Any other task deemed necessary to support the Infrastructure function and within the competencies

**_Cybersecurity_**
- Contribute to the continuous cyber awareness of staff
- Develop learning materials on confluence in the form of wiki pages, short videos, infographics
- Help in the crisis management preparation and running of exercises
- Support cybersecurity training performed externally (preparation, performing, improving)
- Create the phishing campaign via open source platform for the Institute and the beneficiaries; create fake websites

**_Analysis Support_**
- Research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats and ways to manage them for the Institute’s target sectors
- Support the researchers and analysts with tools used in the process of analysis and investigations
- Support internal and external cybersecurity investigations (e.g. phishing attacks) and remediation activities
- Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments

**Experience, Skills, and Attributes**
- Must be acquainted with Configuring/Assigning/Wiping devices across OS
- Manage the full lifecycle of a user journey through the organization
- Experience with Knowledge Management platforms
- Experience with ICT Ticketing systems
- Experience using MDM services platform
- Excellent collaboration and communication/interpersonal skills
- A strong team spirit and enjoys working in teams composed of people from different fields and backgrounds
- Be compliant with issues of confidentiality
- A strong command of English, with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity jargon. Showing similar commands in other languages will be considered an asset
- Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
- Cybersecurity knowledge would be an advantage; for example Security Operations Center (SOC) experience or the use of MISP

**_Extra Qualifications that would be a plus :_**
- Kubernetes,docker, linux, system admin
- Good grasp of Javascript and ReactJS, html
- Technologies supporting analysis tools: elasticsearch, Cypher Query Language, ArangoDB / AQL, Grove
