Group Tax Expert

As a Group Tax Expert, you will play a crucial role in the management of SIG’s international tax position with more than 90 subsidiaries in over 40 countries across the regions Europe, Americas, Asia, and Middle East.
Your engagement will include managing tax aspects of post-merger integration and implementation of OECD Pillar 2. Your main responsibility includes managing the tax accounting and reporting in accordance with IAS12 including effective tax rates analyses and ad-hoc tax reporting queries. Your will be the key person in reviewing and overseeing all aspects of direct tax compliance and developing necessary processes.
You will have the opportunity to work in a small but dynamic Group tax team and contribute to the design and implementation of the group tax strategy. You will collaborate closely with the regional tax teams, the broader global finance organization, as well as external tax advisors.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Provides support for the group’s tax reporting and accounting process including, but not limited to, calculation of current and deferred income taxes according to IFRS, review of the effective tax rate reconciliation by entity, monitoring of cash tax payments for month end closings, forecasts and budgets.
- Maintains correspondence with local tax responsible to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and a smooth and compliant process.
- Provides support to the group’s subsidiaries in all tax accounting related questions including review of annual tax returns and return to provision calculations after filing the tax returns.
- Provides support in the tax accounting process in line with the new requirements of OECD Pillar II
- Provides support with the preparation and publication of CbCR and ESG materials.
- Handles the preparation of Global Internal Controls Documentation for tax reporting processes.
- Monitor and ensure that group’s tax filings are processed in time (tax compliance system) and initiate corresponding actions.
- Involvement in project management activities (both ownership and contribution)
- Participates in the development and maintenance of the process procedures.
- Involved in the design and maintenance of the architecture of tax reporting systems.
- Participates in ad hoc projects and initiatives.
**You bring these skills, experience & education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or economics with specialization in tax and/or further education in the area (ADIT); strong IFRS and accounting knowledge.
- 4+ years of experience in a Big 4 tax advisory role or in-house role in an international environment, working in the area of tax accounting and reporting.
- Advanced data analytics capability
- Very good skills in Excel and Power Point
- Communication skills including presentation & partnership building across geographies and management levels; advanced English language skills.
- Proven project management and change management experience.
