Circular Feedstocks Trader

**Main Purpose**:
Procurement and placement of feedstocks into petrochemical and refining customers.

Focusing on circular feedstocks & waste oils - such as plastics pyrolysis oil (PPO), tyre pyrolysis oil (TPO), UCO & circular products.

- Experience in trading circular feedstocks & waste oils
- Very strong knowledge of the physical trade lifecycle, global arbitrage and its impact on the paper markets
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the Commodities Trading industry.
- Track record of successful deal origination, structuring and execution.
- Active role in driving and developing the corporate strategy for Trafigura in relation to circular feedstocks & waste oils
- Commercially savvy with excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to align interests of internal and external stakeholders.
- Abiltiy to manage and mentor junior employees when required
- Degree level (or equivalent) engineering, economics or business qualification.
- Fluent English, additional language a plus

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop shorts in European market for circular feedstocks, leveraging Trafigura existing customer base within petrochemical producers & refineries.
- Source & develop offtake of pyrolysis & waste oils within European & African markets.
- Work with naphtha team on circular naphtha & bio/renewable naphtha streams and outlets into petrochemicals & blending mandates.
- Support bio-desk on UCO business on co-processing into EU refineries.
- Supporting existing business being developed ex-Asia & USA for PPO/TPO, and co-ordinate global arbitrages into European market.
- Work with SMDG team around optimisation on ISAB asset & trading, including necessary REACH, ISCC(+) certifications.

**Department**

This new role will focus on circular feedstocks (made from plastics & tyre pyrolysis oils) and waste oils (like used cooking oils) as a complement to Trafigura existing naphtha/condensate feedstock trading book. As the world migrates toward greener footprint as part of climate change mitigation efforts, the focus of markets to better re-use waste products and re-use plastics will become a defining effort for energy markets.
