**How you’ll make an impact**
- Drive innovation in reliability analysis, reliability improvement, and prognostics & health management for power grid components and systems
- Collaborate globally with researchers and engineers across Hitachi Energy Research and business units to solve real-world challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
- Build strong networks within the company and with external partners, including universities, start-ups, and vendors
**Your background**
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Solid experience in one or more of the following areas is required: statistical and probabilistic modelling (e.g., Bayesian inference, Monte Carlo simulations), mathematical modelling and simulation (e.g., Markov chains, Poisson processes, Petri nets), data science and machine learning
- Familiarity with reliability engineering methods or condition health monitoring in domains such as mechanical or electronics is a strong plus
- Proven track record of scientific publications in top-tier journals and conferences
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
