The Head of Supply Chain Sustainability & Due Diligence is responsible for achieving effective supply chain due diligence through identifying, preventing, and managing risk while promoting sustainable practices throughout ABB’s supply chain including but not limited to the reduction of its carbon emissions, ensuring forced labor-free and deforestation-free supply chains. ABB will deliver against ambitious sustainability targets to create holistic value for its stakeholders today and tomorrow. The Head of Supply Chain Sustainability & Due Diligence is part of ABB’s Corporate Sustainability team which enables this value creation through engagement with a comprehensive group of internal and external stakeholders on sustainability which empowers it to drive best practices and thought leadership in sustainability governance, set sustainability policy and procedures, and ensure that ABB walks the talk on sustainability.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Embedding responsible business conduct into ABB’s policies, procedures, and management systems. Enabling the organization to identify and assess adverse impacts in upstream & downstream supply chains
- Educating the organization to cease, prevent, or mitigate adverse impacts. Supporting traceability measures and tracking implementation and results
- Driving awareness on due diligence needs and communicating how impacts are being addressed. Providing for or collaborating in remediation when appropriate
- Promoting stakeholder trust through public disclosure on conflict minerals, modern slavery, forced labor, child labor, timber legality, deforestation-free supply chains, climate change mitigation and adaptation; waste, water, biodiversity, and responsible land-use
- Evolving ABB’s Supplier Code of Conduct in line with new requirements.
- Develop Supply chain mapping & digital risk assessment tools that create visibility in the supply chain -beyond tier 1. Implement traceability services & tools that track and ensure the authenticity of raw materials with PO-by-PO mapping, traceability audits, DNA marker tracing, and isotope provenance testing
- Identify due diligence audit providers and grievance mechanisms that make environmental, chemical, ethical, human rights, and forced labor audits more worker-centric (e.g. via worker surveys and hotlines)
- Introduce tools that enable effective emissions and other environmental data exchange within the supply chain.

**Your background**:

- 15+ years’ experience in Global Strategic Procurement and supply-base management
- Experience leading responsible sourcing and decarbonization programs globally. Intercultural awareness and experience collaborating with business partners globally
- Experience dealing with Human Rights, Forced Labor, or Environmental audits and adverse impacts
- Proven experience in collaborating successfully with suppliers and their pre-suppliers on decarbonization and identifying and implementing supply chain due diligence and decarbonization tools
- Passion about ABB’s values (Collaboration, Care, Curiosity & Courage) & Sustainability. Continuous improvement mindset & demonstrated readiness to learn, develop and grow
- Excellent English language skills (Swedish and/ or German language skills appreciated)
- Demonstration of leadership skills: envisioning, engaging, energizing, enabling & executing
- Masters level education
- Track record of driving organizational change based on trust, clarity, and performance
