**Key responsibilities**:

- Establish DP analytical infrastructure and services under GMP (incl. sampling) for e.g. biologics,small molecules and peptide parenterals for commercial products
- Lead and manage a team of scientists within the commercial QC group.
- Ensure compliant and effective use of resources (time, personnel, equipment, material, rooms)
- Supervise maintenance and installation of equipment, order, safety and health protection and following lab and safety instructions and guidance and all cGMP regulations
- Supervise health protection following lab and safety instructions
- Ensure compliant raw data authorization for analytical results generated by QC
- Investigation of deviations and OOX results. Management of changes and CAPAs.
- Liaise with partner units within the Lonza network to ensure the successful delivery of projects e.g. transfer and implementation of analytical methods and technologies for bioanalytical and physicochemical analytics for commercial DP
- Represent DPS QC in customer audits and inspections from health authorities

**Key requirements**:

- PhD or M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field
- Significant working experience in Analytics or Quality Control is a must, preferably for Biologics and under cGMP regulations
- Proven leadership experience
- Excellent working knowledge in majority of relevant analytical techniques
- hands-on experience in QC laboratory specific software (e.g. LIMS, Empower, SoftMax Pro, 32Karat)
- Excellent communication, reporting and scientific skills
- Enthusiastic and open-minded with a proactive attitude
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
