In Vitro Adme Scientist

As an ADME Scientist with NIBR's Pharmacokinetic Sciences (PKS) organization, you will facilitate the ADME optimization of small molecules across discovery phases. The characterization of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) properties using in vitro assays such as metabolic stability and cellular permeability provides critical support to discovery project teams in selecting the optimal compounds for clinical development.
The in vitro ADME group within the PKS department is seeking a highly qualified, multi-disciplinary, and team-oriented Scientist having cell biology experience with emphasis on in vitro ADME assays. In addition, a strong background in bioanalytical methods including LC/MS, radio-chromatography and PCR is desirable. In this role you will provide support for a diverse portfolio that includes small molecules as well as the beyond rule-of-5 property space. You will also be responsible for the troubleshooting and development of new ADME cell-based assays and/or running existing in vitro ADME assays to support pre-clinical project teams.

**Requirements**:
- Apprenticeship, BS or MS in biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry or related disciplines.
- A good understanding of laboratory equipment (particularly LC/MS) and associated software.
- Proficiency in cell culture work and cell-based permeability assays.
- Experience with lab automation and handing of radioactive material is desirable.
- Demonstration of strong experimental and problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration and communication skills (both written and oral), eagerness to learn, and excellent time management skills is favored.
- The ability to work in a team-based drug discovery/development environment is essential.
