Project Manager Product Development

In this position you take on the overall project management for the development and market launch of new products within the "Professional Care" products. You enjoy leading larger, interdisciplinary project teams, are able to quickly grasp complex interrelationships and initiate the resulting actions with foresight. Your role- Responsibility for the execution of global R&D development projects, and enabling close collaboration within the functional organization including product marketing, regulatory and quality, internal manufacturing and operations, suppliers, industrial designers and patent attorney to name some- Facilitate close global collaboration between Swiss, US and Chinese R&D organizations and development partners (e.g. external engineering partners)- Enable execution of projects by following project management processes and toolkits targeting on time to market project and deliver and securing both scope and quality- Empower the project team to develop product development scenarios and define the project scope- Transfer business case at project initiation by following the specified governance and processes- Planning of available budget and resources according project roadmap- Ensure the execution of the project tasks according design control process by creating appropriate deliverables required for medical devices- Ensure the required quality standards and regulations are followed and adequate quality tools are used- Organize and host regular project team and review meetings allowing swift, direct and efficient communication between the different disciplines **Profile**: - Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (mechanical / electrical / systems engineering) or natural science (physics, chemistry, biology or similar)- 5+ years of experience in project management of new product development, ideally in a highly regulated industry and preferably medical devices- Good understanding for requirements, functionality and complexity management, preferably of medical devices, consumer goods or small value assets- R&D project experience “from idea to market” including transfer into industrialization and handover to supply chain- Goal oriented, transformational and transactional leadership skills, influencing and problem solving skills- Business fluent in English, German is an asset Your opportunity At Medela, you will be joining a global community of colleagues, united by the purpose that drives our business: helping people.
