To strengthen our Data Center & Hosting team in Zürich we are looking for a Data Center Technician (M/F/d)

Tasks
- Monitoring and performing ongoing maintenance on servers, storage systems and network equipment., storage systems and network equipment.
- Providing IT support to staff and customers in the DC.
- Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers, storage systems and network equipment.
- System installation planning in regards of power, cooling and network.
- Install and replace any IT systems in the DCs.
- Operate and manage Windows server, Netapp storage and DellEMC backup solutions for some customers.
- Documenting configurations in CMDB and DCIM.
- Advising on the procurement of new data center equipment.
- Keeping track of developing trends in data center technologies.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree, diploma of higher education, in Information technology, or similar.
- CompTIA ServerPlus, or certification would be advantageous.
- 2-3 years of experience as a data center technician, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment.
- Experience with different Storage and Backup solutions required.
- Conceptional knowledge in IT solution design is advantageous.
- Experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
- Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.
- Ability to keep up with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies.
- Proficiency in documenting.
- You are eligible to pass the Swiss Personal Security Clearance (PSP)
- Communication skills in German and English.
- Willingness to respond to storage and server errors after hours.
