At our busy headquarters in Murten, Switzerland we design, develop and manufacture actuators and its components for our customers in mainly in the automotive industry. Engineers, customers, production managers and business development rely on our logistics department to ensure supply chain, transportation, stock management and all logistics activities are managed to the highest standard. And that is where you come in our success story We need you to lead our logistics department and work with managers, finance leads, sales reps and business development to synchronize, co-ordinate, communicate and manage all logistics related undertakings. You will also people manage two direct reports and ensure they are supported and motivated to be successful in their role.

Your responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure logistics and purchase activities are managed to the highest standard;- Optimize our supply chain management and related activities;- Operate according to “just in time management” to secure supply and delivery of components and finished goods;- Oversee order processing to support the planning of production with zero stock and on time delivery;- Manage inventory and warehouse activities;- Ensure transportation is organized to the highest standard;- Complete the required data collection, analysis, and reporting;- Develop and finalize recovery plan with our customers and suppliers;- Be a role model to your logistics team and support them to undertake their responsibilities successfully;- Indirectly manage the supplying department with its 20 employees.

Our requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of experience managing logistics activities - manufacturing environment and the automotive industry is preferred;- Expertise in managing various aspects of a logistics department such as purchase activities and order processing, supply chain co-ordination, inventory, transportation, reporting and stakeholder management;- Excellent working knowledge of technical logistics tools and just-in-time distribution;- Second to none stakeholder management and communication skills;- Very good negotiation skills and able to work under pressure, managing expectations;- Excellent communications skills in English both written and verbal, as well as French or German;- Good knowledge of ERP system ( Movex and or Oracle would be a High asset);- A Master’s Degree from a relevant field of study;- The ability to analyze data and processes to make recommendation on improvements;- Proven experience in managing, motivating and supporting a team.
