CRB is looking to strengthen their professional design and construction team in their established office (and subsidiary) in Basel. The Employee is aware of and accepts that he/she might be required to travel frequently and work on project sites.
**Job Description**:
CRB is looking for an experienced, dynamic and self-motivated Project Director to support growing our expertise in Switzerland within the life science marketplace.
The Project Director supervises projects of variable sizes (up to TIC 200M) on the Swiss market, within the Basel office. Projects are primarily focused on biotechnology, aseptic filling, API and other pharmaceutical process projects including both existing renovations / retrofits and new construction.
- Mentoring of Project Managers and other Project Management team members
- Overall responsibility for project success: project goals, client satisfaction, technical completion, quality compliance, budget, schedule
- Leading, coordinating, managing, delegating, and supporting project team as required for project success, aligning team to overall project goals and motivating engineering design team
- Developing project execution plans appropriate for the size and type of project and defining the team needs and approach for General Planning or EPCM / EPC opportunities
- Managing client expectations and responsible of reporting progress to the client weekly and monthly
- Contribute with the local leadership team to the definition of execution methods, tools, communication strategy and resource needs
- Ensure partnership and collaboration with internal and external partners.
**Qualifications**:
- 10+ years of project management experience, including 5 years of experience with technical project management in the field of Pharma or Biotech design/engineering/ construction
- Project realization track in Switzerland including knowledge in SIA, General Planning and EPCM
- Outstanding team leadership skills with strong ability to mentor, coach and delegate
- Developed communication skills, in particular ability to operate in organizational change and in international contexts
- Ability to represent and act as a deputy of leadership
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Oracle P6, ACC, MS Excel, CRM systems, etc.)
- Master in Engineering or equivalent (Process, Mechanical, Electrical or comparable Engineering)
- Language: Fluent in German and English, French is a plus
- Valid Work Permit for Switzerland, or able to obtain a permit
