**Research Project Manager for Oncology Discovery **SRS ID 5243**

Our client is a pioneer in Drug Discovery and Development and one of thefrontrunners in Personalised Healthcare. As the world's largest R&D spender

in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics domain, they work in a vast number of drug discovery & therapeutic areas and are highly recognized

internationally. We have a **new contract role, situated in Zurich as Research Project Manager, within Oncology Discovery.**

Our client is looking for a dynamic person, able to identify their top deliverables, finalize projects to achieve results whilst assuming personal responsibility for outcomes.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the vision & strategy for **Discovery projects** in partnership with the research project leader and the project team
- **Consolidatin**g high-level project information obtained from project teams into **project plans**:

- Communicating essential info into portfolio management, creating alignment & transparency and thus enriching decision
- making by the leadership
- **Guiding teams **through the ever-changing landscape of governance & stakeholder management
- **Supporting the annual goal-setting process** for Discovery projects and regular tracking of progress against these goals
- **Assisting and guiding individual project teams** at their interface with governance bodies and supporting functions in
- dealing with complex issues that impact the Discovery Portfolio
- Working with the Project teams to **identify, validate and propose potential solutions to major issues**, resource
- bottlenecks, project plan deviations, and develop trade-off options for rapid project progression or early project termination

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- **Relevant Swiss working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required**:

- University Degree in natural sciences, PhDs desired or other with several years of relevant experience
- Min. 3 years experience in **Project Management**:

- in the **drug development space for cancer research** and development
- Hands on **and indepth understanding of the scientific language and behaviors, ideally in Oncolog**y
- Strong **Stakeholder management** skills
- Knowledgeable in supporting or leading cross-functional drug discovery or development project teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills in **English
