Tasks

**Why the Product team has a central role for bexio**:

- As a software provider, our product is the heart of our business. bexio is an “all in one” solution for digital business administration for Swiss SMEs. Every day, tens of thousands of customers use bexio to create offers for their clients, to write invoices, and to manage their expenses, while the bookkeeping runs in the background
- We are looking for a (Junior) Product Owner for our Payroll module, which is an efficient and simple solution SMEs use to do their monthly payroll
- You will be reporting to the Lead Product Owner alongside 3 other Product Owners to design the future of bexio. You will be supported by our UX specialists, Data analysts, and Product Management to reach your goals

**What you will do**:

- You become the business expert for the payroll domain in our Product team. This means you become proficient in Swiss regulations around payroll accounting, and you stay informed about important developments and competitive trends
- You make informed decisions based on multiple sources of data, and -with tested assumptions
- decide which features to develop for our customers
- You engage with Tech teams in an effective way to ensure project goals are met
- You provide content to the marketing and feature launch framework established for effective communication to our customers
- You act as sparrings partner to our dedicated Payroll Support Specialist to ensure that customers receive important information, and to detect customer needs

**Requirements**:
**Whom we are looking for**:

- Degree in Business, Economics, IT, or a related field
- Some experience in a similar role, or a related field. The seniority of the role will depend on your prior experience - motivated beginners are welcome
- You feel comfortable around Tech teams, but it’s more important for you to understand the regulatory requirements of our Payroll software than the underlying technology. We have Product Owners with all kinds of backgrounds (from business administration to software development), but this is a more business-oriented role
- Existing knowledge of Swiss payroll regulations is highly desirable, but you also have the opportunity to learn from scratch. What’s important is that you are motivated to learn all about payroll, and we will give you the opportunity to grow into this role
- You’re not only passionate about creating new features and interacting with Scrum teams - you also want to understand the needs of our customers, and you are keen on working with other departments
- You are fluent in German (at least C1), and English in a business environment
- You have Swiss or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit for Switzerland
