Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.**: ABB's High-Power Rectifiers unit designs and develops customized rectifier systems for aluminum smelting plants, electric steel plants, and the chemical industry. Within this area, the Electromechanical Engineering team is responsible for the mechanical and thermodynamic design of the system, in addition to preparing the full range of manufacturing documentation. We currently have an open position for the Engineering Manager of this team of designers and engineers in the High-Power Rectifier Business. In this role, you will guide & coach them, and developing their skills and knowledge. Also, you will oversee engineering projects, delivering high-quality, cost-effective and timely engineering solutions to customers, in line with the contract, safety and quality requirements. **Your responsibilities**: - Overseeing the Electromechanical Engineering team which is responsible for the mechanical and thermodynamic design of the High-Power Rectifier system, in addition to preparing the full range of manufacturing, assembly and installation documentation. - Working closely with customers and suppliers to shape and deliver technical solutions, and utilizing feedback to deliver improvements and maintain customer satisfaction - Ensuring that the engineering team is adequately resourced and equipped, including formulating plans and allocating resources - Overseeing the completion of risk and opportunity assessments and implementing the resulting actions - Developing and driving continuous improvement to optimize processes, policies and procedures - Working with the Procurement team to ensure that appropriate suppliers, services and equipment are available - International travel up to 10% **Your background**: - Sound experience in project specific engineering- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills - A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering or related fields - A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies - A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines **Benefits**: - Canteen - Flexible work practices - Childcare **More about us**:
