About the team you are joining

You will report to the Senior Economist, and you will provide wide-ranging research and analytical support for IATA, its airline members and key stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of team projects as well as being responsible for specific outputs, focusing on the economic analysis of trends and drivers of the airline industry across various regions, including contributing to short-term market monitoring and forecast efforts. You will also provide administrative support for the team and contribute to the successful management of projects across the team, including efforts to improve the overall efficiency and optimization of the dissemination of our research across various channels.

What your day would be like

Support the team managing multiple research projects with tight deadlines, and contribute to the preparation of briefing and research outputs across a range of aviation industry trends and issues;
Support the team in responding to requests from member airlines, internal and external stakeholders for information, data, charts and other assistance;
Assist IATA's regional teams (including the preparation of country briefing and analyses, region-based presentations and reports);
Support the team in its commercial activities - such as Strategic Partner Workshops and webinars;
Assist with various communication and dissemination activities across a range of channels, including intranet outlets and social media;
Identify opportunities for, and document, process improvements.

We would love to hear from you if

Recent University graduate in Economics or other relevant discipline;
Excellent data cleaning and analysis skills. This includes looking for data sources, cleaning small-sized data using Excel, and large-sized data using statistical/econometric tools such as R/Python/Stata, etc.;
Interested in air transport economics and sustainability issues;
Familiarity with using social media tools and channels to engage with and influence audiences;
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, without sacrificing attention to detail.
