Digital Engineering Lead

**Job Description**:
Location: we are flexible for this role to be in our European locations ( for example Switzerland, Poland, Netherlands etc)

**About the role**:
As **Digital Engineering Lead** you will be responsible of the Ecosystem supporting Digital HCP engagement in the Global Digital CoE and its connection with rest of Biogen Ecosystem. You will ensure the conceptualization, the architecture, the development, the security and the maintenance of the technical solutions for HCP digital products that focuses on customer engagement. In this role you will be a key contributor to the central product team, ultimately responsible for driving the technology vision, design, strategy, implementation and maintenance of the platforms. Here you will lead a development team (external resources) and collaborate with other team members of the global Digital CoE (in UX, Project Management, Marketing & Operations, and Content, Capabilities teams ) as well as with the Biogen IT key stakeholders.

**What you'll do**:
As Digital Engineering Lead will also collaborate with local product owners to receive direct feedback on local market feature requirements. You will manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering teams as well as the management and execution of the product software development against delivery commitments and project plans. He/she provides technical guidance and direction, as well as hands-on resource and project management, for all software development activities.

**Job description**:

- Be hands-on at the beginning while you build and guide a tech team in building a world-class product that will be rolled out globally. Keep up with new technologies and identify correct schema for the software in development
- Lead a digital development team in building and implementing the end to end digital platform for BiogenLinc. Define the product technology stack and its integration with other digital capabilities across the business in conjunction with IT.
- Work closely with the Product and Digital Capabilities owners to establish and iteratively change an agile delivery plan based on functional and nonfunctional requirements, technical feasibility and dependencies, and your delivery estimates.
- Own the complete architecture and software development lifecycle by managing the solutioning, engineering, testing, release and maintenance. Be responsible for feature deployment, the stability of the product’s core platform and the overall quality of the product’s architecture.
- Close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders for planning, development, integration of systems and implementation of APIs
- Build a high performing team with adequate training and performance.

**Qualifications**:

- B.E/M.E/MS in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 8 years in digital solution engineering, digital solution architect, must have led at team members in the past
- Experienced in development, support, and maintenance for a large scale global digital solution
- Experience in modern language frameworks (i.e (but not restrictive) React, React Native, Javascript, Python, Node.JS)
- Solid knowledge of cloud native solution design and development.
- Solid knowledge building content heavy solutions systems, experience working with Contentful CMS is preferred.
- Deep understanding of decoupled/microservices architecture
- Experienced in cloud-native architecture (AWS/Google Firebase)
- Experienced in API design and development for Microservices architecture
- Previous experience building multi-market, multi-language platforms.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases(preferably MongoDB Atlas).
- Experienced in collaborating in a lean-agile environment
- JIRA, Confluence experience necessary
- Languages: fluent English mandatory another European language strongly desired
