You will direct and support management of all Environmental, Health and Safety functions for a site, in compliance with Givaudan EHS policies, and with all applicable EHS regulations. You will manage risk and lead culture change to reduce the probability of EHS incidents. You will improve the EHS organization to deliver added value to our organization and you will promote the EHS culture across the organization.

You will be based at our site in Vernier, Switzerland and reporting to Site Company Manager and functionally to Regional EHS Director.

**You will**:

- Support Site management on all aspects of EHS policy, planning and management; act as a coach to line managers to ensure that EHS becomes and remains a line responsibility
- Develop an EHS vision/master plan and deploy plan for the Site taking into account both the Operations/EHS Global strategy/projects and the local legislation.
- Shape programs leading to continuous improvements in EHS
- Lead the team whilst improving the local EHS organization
- Deploy behavior-based safety programs
- Track site safety behavioral audits and incidents, analyze trends on audits, investigate incidents and near miss reports and report same to management team, issue recommendations to prevent recurrence and ensure implementation of corrective actions
- Ensure safety and health programs are strictly implemented (PPE)
- Ensure emergency planning is effective
- Oversee environmental activities on Vernier site: sustainability/green teams, management of air quality, storm water, wastes, hazardous waste/materials handling/storage, underground storage tanks, spill prevention control and countermeasures
- Ensure EHS legal compliance to Givaudan and statutory directives
- Manage EHS auditing/certifications (including ISO 14001) and assurance program
- Complete and submit regulatory reports
- Ensure Indicator reporting is complete and initiate actions to work towards the agreed targets
- Verify that corrective actions, as a result of incident investigations, are documented and implemented
- Provide advice/training and practical help to site managers/employees to so they are experienced and engaged to fulfill their EHS line management responsibilities
- Manage/improve the EHS organization to deliver added value to our organization
- Be a main contact for other departments: Regulatory, IT, regional Management Team
- Lead the Employee Safety committee to promote safety awareness
- Maintain good relationships with EHS external partners (authorities/communities and network), act as a primary contact for Federal, State, and local EHS regulatory agencies.

**Your professional profile includes**:

- Master Degree in engineering/chemistry or equivalent experience
- With a formal Swiss EHS qualification
- 10+ years of experience in our industry (in a Seveso/Opam sites)
- Chemical industry background
- Fluent French & English language knowledge
- Broad experience in all EHS aspects in a local role
- Experience in people management, and develop direct reports
- Experience working in a matrix organization
- Experience translating strategies into applicable plans
- Expertise in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Control, Root Cause Analysis, Emergency Management and Process Safety Management
