In this position, you will significantly contribute to the factory development of our sites in Switzerland and China to further improve and maintain our competitiveness. Reporting to the Head of Investments and Operational Excellence, you will take the lead in challenging improvement activities related to factory optimization in the area of automatization, technology, digitalization, and operational excellence. With your open-minded spirit, your excellent project management skills, your ability to lead cross functional project teams as well as your technical knowhow, you will have a large and visible impact on our priorities safety, quality, OTD and costs. You will be part of the business unit Supply ＆ Value Chain Excellence. Your responsibilities: - Optimization of our factories in the area of automatization, digitalization, operational excellence as well as implementing new manufacturing technologies across our entire value chain to improve safety, quality, OTD and costs,- Leading cross functional project teams along all project phases (initialization, analysis, concept development, project implementation until handover to line organization),- Setting up a high performing team incl. project organization, defining and planning work packages and leading the project according to our project governance,- Developing in-depth understanding of our production processes, to find innovative solutions to complex questions,- Technology scouting and potential assessment for our factories. Showing initiative to start further improvement projects,- Establishing partnerships with externals such as suppliers and universities,- Working and networking with colleagues, disseminating best practices, continuous improvement of our project management skills and methods,- Maintaining and enhancing internal customer satisfaction by offering dialogue and excellent service at all times. Your background: - Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, electronic/automation, production etc.) or corresponding job experience,- Excellent and proven project management skills (>5 years) to lead complex investment projects of 2- 10 Mil. CHF,- Practical knowhow in the field of cutting technologies, NC programming and manufacturing is a big plus- Interest in the resolution of technical problems and interdisciplinary teamwork,- Strong interest in automatization, digitalization, and operational excellence in the field of production optimization and strong understanding of the lean philosophy,- Willingness to work in a challenging and demanding environment,- Financial acumen to analyze financial data and to create business cases for our investment projects,- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills,- Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills,- Solution oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn,- Fluency in English and German required.
